IHPN and Rexanto are responding to a CMS RFP.  CMS has offered $1 billion dollars in grant money to entities (groups of stakeholders) that can demonstrate innovative ways to lower cost and improve care.  CMS has specifically mentioned high cost populations like seniors.  IHPN and Rexanto are proposing to bring LTC best practices to high-risk seniors at home.  The program will offer the following:

IHP Network to Meet wtih CMS

IHPN leads the way with a scheduled meeting, Tuesday, June 29th with the CMS Staff regarding the Short Cycle Dispensing initiative. IHPN, representative members from IHPN along with the Dumbarton Group will be meeting with Dr. Jeffrey Kelman, Chief Medical Officer, Center for Beneficiary Choices and his staff, to discuss the Short Cycle Dispensing initiative as it relates to Long Term Care. The implementation of the 7 day fill for SNF's will likely be implemented January 1, 2012. This legislation will potentially have a strong impact on our pharmacies. We need to understand the implications and influence of the final legislation. We can potentially impact the billing which is extremely important to us. We have scheduled a conference call for Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 12 noon eastern time which will be  hosted by the Dumbarton Group and Associates, LLC. See agenda below:
